Sunday...my day to be nice

Just look at our community garden now! Karl Steiskal tells me they have already given hundreds of pounds to the Boone County Food Pantry. If you get a chance drop by and take a look. It is just north of the office behind the pine trees.
You will notice the nice benches built by the Scouts. Lowes in Rockford donated the bench wood as well as the lumber to build the containers for the herbs and flowers. They deserve our thanks for the generous gesture.

Yep, the new bird houses are in also. They will give homes to birds that will help control the insect population. Notice also the huge tomato plants in the foreground.

These are simply flowers planted to beautify the area. You will remember Sandy Morse spearheaded this project and what a job she and others have done bringing this dream to life.

If this isn't a Sunday message I don't know what is. Beautify the Earth while giving to the less fortunate in the area. May God bless all who helped with this project.
