You may have noticed a post from a couple days ago in which I mentioned the possibility of cyber war.
Today's Wall Street Journal had an article about the same subject, mentioning the possibility of a cyber Pearl Harbor in which banking and electric grids would be shut down.
Congress is working on legislation to combat that eventuality but seeing the track record of congress don't hold your breath. Billions more will be spent on new departments and regulations and in a few years maybe something will be done. Let's just hope it isn't too late.
I say turn the private sector loose on it. Have Apple, Google, Amazon, and the like put their internet geniuses to work on the problem and it would be solved.
