"our" Drake Cemetery update

Sheltered under the spreading limbs of the old Oak trees lie the graves of soldiers, fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters who now, thanks to the work of a soon to be Eagle Scout, have the place of honor they deserve. Look to the left to see some of the old stones.
This cemetery was overgrown with brush and weeds. now it is simply a forest and a final resting place. More stones in the center rear of this view.
Some will need some renovation. I'm not sure how this can be lifted into place without equipment. As I learned in Iowa these are really heavy. The one I lifted into place was taller but half this size.
More stones reclaimed from the underbrush.

I want you to see even the brush along Dawson Lake road was cleared to make Drake Cemetery visible and the entire area more appealing. They did a wonderful job and I want all to know it is appreciated.   Ken Dillenburg
