Notes from Tuesday evening's B.O.D. meeting


Unofficial Board Minutes June 19, 2012

Two representatives from Aqua attended the meeting and stated they wanted to improve communications with us.  They have made many changes with should improve this.  In August they will have an Open House to answer any questions we have.  They also gave a $500.00 donation for our fireworks display.

It was voted on to have a Candlewick Lake Dog Show on August 25, at 1:00.  Prizes will be awarded for various categories and a Best of Show picked.  The Lambright children are running the event.  You must live in Candlewick to participate and owners are responsible for their dogs.

Road Construction:  The construction is moving along and is ahead of schedule.

Recreation:  It was approved to purchase bubbles which are used for swimming lessons.  The guards are in place at the pool and swimming lessons scheduled.

AQUA ADHOC:  The group will stay organized for a short time until some final points are handled with Aqua.

Golf Course Committee:  They had their first meeting June 1 and had a couple of ideas for the course.

Resolution 12-R-25:  It was passed to keep Scott Pointner as legal counsel.

Town Hall Meetings:  It was approved to have 3 Town Hall Meetings a year which residents can attend to voice their concerns or ideas.  The first one will be July 25th at the Rec Center from 7-9 p.m.

Friends of Candlewick:  This is the volunteer group that collects the cans for re-cycling have generously decided to donate 2 fishing piers to Candlewick.
