Here's to the "Friends of Candlewick"

In case some of you don’t know who these folks are, it is some guys that have joined together to collect aluminum cans for use in conjunction with lake management for lake improvements. They do this on their own volunteer time simply to help our community. You all know where the can receptacles are by the boat launch and Highland Valley park.
A presentation was made by Jim Brefeld at Tuesday’s board meeting asking for permission to install two new fishing piers in a couple of the lakefront parks. Why? Simply to afford more fishing opportunities for those who have no boats and for kids to learn and enjoy fishing. What a fine group of guys to do this sort of thing. Of course the request was granted. No cost to Candlewick and a great benefit.
You guys are really appreciated.
