Boone County Moving forward with their Governmental Aggregation Program
Boone County and several Communities are having a Public Meeting on March 8th 2012 to discuss Governmental Aggregation and what it means to the ComEd customers of Boone County.
The meeting will be held on March 8th at 6:30 PM at the Boone County Council on Aging Keen Age Center at 2141 Henry Luckow Lane Belvidere, Illinois 61008.
Please join us to discuss what Government Aggregation means and discover what your options are as an electrical consumer.
There are over 290 Communities and Counties in Illinois that will have this referendum question on the March Primary Ballot. The intent is to collectively lower your electrical supply costs.
“Shall the (City/Village/County) have the authority to arrange for the supply of electricity for its residential and small commercial retail customers who have not opted out of such program?”YES or NO
Officials will be on hand to discuss this ballot issue.
Simply said This is the most beneficial and least risky way for residents to choose a supplier. By pooling together customers, the reduced acquisition costs and economics of scale savings for the suppliers are passed on to the end users. One Governmental Official declared that “This is a rare opportunity that we can do something that could save our Taxpayers money.”
