This year we are doing the lake weed and algae control in-house rather than paying an outside service to take care of the applications. It is being done under the supervision of a lake biologist who is indicating the right chemical mix and timely application. We are being conservative in the application to be sure there is no overtreatment.
I live on the east side of the lake and today I walked out to the lake and the green mossy sloppy stuff (I know, a real scientific description) that was growing in the water was dropping to the bottom and brown so the application was working in the lake overall. The lake was nice and clear so I would say they did a fine job. Plenty of minnows, bluegills, etc. were swimming around so no harm there either. Keep up the good work.
