It seems now one of the naysayers has decided he
will write the Candlewick budget for the next fiscal year. He has never to my
knowledge attended a finance commission meeting or for that matter handled a
budget any larger than for a home. His home, by the way, is for sale.
Of course anyone can make suggestions for ways to
improve operations but an entire budget? Come on. I guess if it gives him
something to do that is fine but I have been involved in the budgeting process
for a couple years now along with other members and I will tell you the process
is intense. Tracy writes the original budget and the rest of us go over it line
by line hoping to find ways to tighten. Few are found.
Maybe he should run for the board again if he wants involvement in the actual process. We’ll see how that goes. I'll keep you posted as this develops.
