Wednesday evening was the combined meeting of the roads ADHOC and the finance commission to plan the procedure and financing of the road reconstruction planned for 2012. It is good this the planning is starting early. Nothing is ever easy and smooth.
The company handling the estimates for the work just dropped off new numbers and naturally they are higher than the original proposal. During the joint meeting many questions were put forward in an effort to define exactly what the estimate entails. We need to know without a doubt some questionable or undefined verbiage in the proposal and the G.M. is going to follow through to obtain specifics.
When Tracy has the answers we will meet again to hammer out the sequence of the repair areas as well as the plan for financing the project from our reserves. This is not going to be easy. Differing plans have been brought forth for paying for this as well as differing time frames. At this point there is no point going into all the differing views until we are ready for meeting with the P.O.s to put forth final plans. We will keep you updated here as plans progress. Rest assured it is in process so you won’t be driving on gravel eventually. It will be handled and is on the front burner at this point.
