Lots to do!

Next Saturday, April 30, this place will be humming with activity. We all know our clean-up is that day. Rich Witt is in charge of that important project to beautify Candlewick by getting rid of all the litter. Volunteers are still needed so be sure to call 815-765-0070 or email Rich (wittrichsue@yahoo.com) to sign up for an area you will handle.

Now get this, that is the same day as the fish club meeting where they will be discussing everything about fishing from poles to lines and knots and fish handling. That is at the rec center starting at 9 a.m. This will be an informative meeting to attend. Oh, just to ice the cake it is also goose egg addling morning.

Here’s what I am doing. I intend to cover a few blocks picking up litter Friday then again Saturday morning spend more time until there is a birthday party for my grandkids in the afternoon. That should cover a solid day of work total. Some who are attending the fishing club will also be picking up areas on Friday then attending the fishing club and hitting it again.

Anyone who says there is nothing to do in CWL must be nuts! This is manageable folks if we all chip in and work around the scheduling conflicts. If an old geezer like me can do it so can everyone else.
