Weekly Public Safety report

WEEKLY REPORT

Animal Related

Public Safety responded to a call of a loose dog in the area of the 200 block of Thornhill. The owner of the dog was subsequently cited for violation of the pet policy.
Public Safety responded to a call of a loose dog in the area of 100 block of Hastings. The owner of the dog was cited for a violation of the pet policy.

Traffic Related

Public Safety responded to an issue relating to a contractor caring for a vacant house, plowing snow into the street causing a traffic hazard. The bank / owner of the residence was issued a citation.

Suspicious Incidents

Public Safety responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Columbia. Upon arrival the vehicle was gone.
Public Safety responded to loud noise in the area of the 200 block of Liverpool. Public Safety determined the noise was from the gas station across the street thus Public Safety could take no action. Public Safety did advise the homeowner to call the Sheriff’s Office.
 
Public Safety responded to numerous calls to assist motorists during the snow storm. Public Safety will assist in contacting a towing company of your choice when these types of issues arise.
 
Public Safety checked nine ice fisherman and we are proud to say all were 100% compliant with rules and regulations.
