The Candlewick legal
committee met last Monday evening at 6 p.m. and provided one hour from seven to
eight for questions and comments from the audience to our lawyer regarding the
CC&R rewrites.
The crowd was very
sparse with questions from possibly five to six of the attendees. The attorney (Scott
Pointner) explained the restatement process and the reason we legally must pass
the restatement of our CC&Rs. The hour session should have answered all
questions on the spot or responses will be coming.
After the Q & A the legal
committee went into session again to continue working with our attorney on the
ByLaws. Those documents will be next in line that will need to be brought into
compliance. This process is very expensive but there is no choice, it has to
happen. Between legal fees, labor, copying, postage and other associated costs
this is not helping our budget, as you can imagine.
