Public Safety weekly report

Important Candlewick Lake Information

Candlewick Lake Public Safety

Week Ending 01/29/2012

Animal Related
Public Safety responded to a report of a loose dog in the 2000 block of Candlewick Dr. The dog was not located
Traffic Related
Public Safety responded to a report of a traffic accident, vehicle vs. mailbox in the 100 block of Centralia. The matter is under investigation.
Public Safety responded to a call of a subject involved in a traffic altercation yelling profanities at passing cars in the 100 block of Poseidon. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office responded and handled the matter.

Suspicious Incidents
Public Safety responded to the Recreation Center for a report of suspicious subjects. Public Safety was advised they were waiting to be picked up and remained there until they were picked up. Public Safety responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Candlewick and Carthage. The vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Structure Fire

Public Safety responded to a report of a snow mobile on fire in the area of the 100 block of Columbia. Capron Fire extinguished the fire.

Rescue Calls
Public Safety responded to a call of a subject who was intoxicated and dizzy after drinking and smoking cannabis in the 100 block of Marquette. Capron rescue arrived and treated the subject.

Domestic Disputes
Public Safety responded to a domestic dispute involving a report of a man holding a woman against her will with a knife in the 200 block of Liverpool. Subjects were identified as the same subjects involved in an earlier noted incident at the Recreation Center. Boone County Sheriff’s Office arrived and determined the incident occurred outside Candlewick but the subjects were located on Liverpool. Boone County Sheriff’s transported both subjects off of the property.

Public Safety checked 35 ice fishermen and found 3 fishermen without their State licenses on their person. Public Safety will be issuing citations for failure to comply with the rules and regulations regarding fishing
