Kelvin, our Chief of public safety, has developed further health problems and has indicated he will not be able to return to his post. We wish Kelvin the best. On a personal note, I really liked him. He seemed like a very nice guy who had great plans going forward for our community.
On a brighter note, there were other great applicants for the position when is was open a few months ago so qualified individuals are available to fill the post. Soon the name of the new chief will be announced so we can move forward into the summer with a full staff.
