Everyone who attended the meeting last night already knows we are losing another board member. Gary Kurpeski has decided his work load and family along with the substantial time necessary to handle the board seat are just too much to continue. He has been kind enough to indicate he will stay until we appoint a new member to fill his seat. Gary is a good member and will be missed on the board.
The next step for anyone who has an interest in the seat is to submit a resume to either the board president or the general manager. We would like to fill the seat fairly soon to avoid imposing on Gary any longer than necessary. Remember this is a very time consuming position not only with the board meetings themselves but the preparation for the board meetings, calls at home from property owners, committee and commission assignments and the preparation for those, some ability for public speaking, a lot of research, and in general a dedication to the effective running of the association. Please consider all this before submitting your interest in the seat.
We will have the general notes from the Tuesday night board meeting posted soon but I wanted this out first for your consideration.
