Candlewick Lake Public Safety

WEEKLY REPORT

Weekending 9.25.11

Burglaries / Attempted Burglaries

We had an incident reported directly to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office in which three unknown subjects wearing all black attempted to gain entry into a vehicle located in the 100 Block of Liverpool. No suspects were located.

Suspicious Vehicles

We had two incidents of suspicious vehicles, one in the area of the 100 Block of Sequoyah and the other at Talladega and Candlewick Dr. Occupants were identified and verified that they were appropriately checked in and verbally warned to obey parking restrictions.

Found Property

We had three bicycles that were previously reported stolen found in the lake at Highland Valley. In addition we had a cellular phone found and returned to the owner by Public safety.

Criminal Damage to Property / Theft

We had two thefts of outside garage lights in the 200 Block of Picadilly.


Juvenile Mischief

We had several juveniles involved in the smashing of pumpkins and depositing them in the roadway in the 200 Block of Candlewick Dr. The juveniles’ parents were contacted and appropriate enforcement action taken.

Special Enforcement

On 09/24/2011, we had a special enforcement “Blitz” of Public Safety personnel within the complex to gather intelligence and or apprehend subjects committing vehicle burglaries. We utilized unmarked vehicles and conducted surveillances on several locations. We gathered information based on activities, vehicles and person(s) frequenting certain locations. This was an activity paramount to our investigations and yielded an abundance of information.
