I mentioned yesterday the legally necessary changes to the CC&Rs as well as corrections to irregularities and mistakes in the current document. As an overview, the new document will be laid out in such a way one can put the old and new documents side by side and see any changes made. They will be in almost exactly the same order and with the same numeric indications so anyone can see what was done. It is being handled in this manner so everyone can see there is nothing out of the ordinary.
You will find when you receive the ballot there will actually be two ballots enclosed. There were several changes and additions your legal committee would have liked to have made to the CC&Rs but it was decided the fairest way to handle that would be to have them on a separate ballot. You will be able to vote on each change or addition individually and each will need the same 50% plus one P.O. vote in order to be contained in the restated CC&Rs. These changes are not legally necessary but in our opinion would be good for our community. The decision will be in your hands as it should be. Your thumbs up or thumbs down for these changes will decide their fate.
