General Manager’s Report: Tracy is looking into new software for rules enforcement that is user friendly and will save us money. Tracy went to a seminar this month and learned that we are doing a lot of things right and some things we can improve on, which he will be working on.
Financial: The attorney is working on investigating vacant lots and trying to re-coup past due money from these.
ECC: They are looking into making the tree cutting application easier and more user- friendly. This is still under discussion and a decision will be made soon.
Lake Management: Joe Rush is working on a recommendation for the lake.
Road Construction: We are working with the company on drainage and shoulder issues. This will be an on-going project to keep the roads up and each road will be treated individually because the roads are at different stages. We did learn that our roads are not in that bad of shape, on a scale of 1-10, we are at about a 6.9 at this point. We should get a bid in by the end of the week after which the commission will meet again to go over the figures.
Recreation: Sandy reported that we will have more healthy drinks in the current pop machine at the Rec Center. We also will have an Open House on October 8th at the Rec Center. There will be a free class and many more exhibits to let you know what is available.
Legal: The attorney sent a list of questions to be answered by the commission concerning the CC&Rs and By Laws. They think by the end of the week the lawyer will send a draft of the CC&Rs, and then we can go from there.
Aqua Illinois: The committee has been working hard with Cub to get information. There may be a hearing in Springfield that people will be able to go. We will have more information as we get it. Check your blast e-mail and the Candlewick paper. They also will be having a meeting with the Division Manager of Aqua Illinois. Also you can check the ICC website.
Restaurant Update: The new date of opening is September 5.
Banning Process and Procedures: Property owners are responsible for all actions of their guests. If such guests do not follow the rules they could be banned from Candlewick.
Boat Registration: Water craft must be registered with a state and Candlewick. They will be inspected every year by Candlewick.
Boat Motor Horsepower: This was tabled until the full Board was present and they could have more discussion.
