Help for those in need

I for one did not realize the Food Pantry did more than supply food and clothing. It appears there are more needed services available for those going through hard times. It is a fine organization.

The Belvidere/Boone County Food Pantry is a one-stop shop for those underprivileged in the Boone County area. We seek to serve all residents who fall below the poverty guidelines established by the Department of Human Services. We offer a Job Readiness Program to assist in making our clients employable. We have also worked hard to develop meaningful relationships with outside agencies that work with us to provide services such as mental healthcare, nutritional information, and assistance applying for state aid.
