Monday late afternoon we held a meeting to make some decisions about the amount of testing we want to assure the winning bidder is complying with the bid specifications. We don’t want to overspend on it but it is important when using your reserves money on the roads we get what we are paying for.
When the final bid specs are put together we will attempt to get bids for the actual work so we can start as soon as the weather is cooperative and the budget is finalized for the fiscal 2012-2013 year. During the winter months little will be happening with the commission but it will all break loose next year. It will be busy then. We will have laid the groundwork for hopefully a smooth running project.
